CS:GO – Valve adding CS:GO Guard – another layer of account protection

One person, who claims to work with Valve as their Steam translator, said that new strings were added to Steam files that relate to CS:GO. The person claims that these strings belong to a what he thinks might be a new layer of protection for player accounts. He also provided these screenshots as proof:

In one of the strings the phrase “Perfect world” was mentioned. “Perfect World” can relate to 2 things: the Chinese version of CS:GO, the “Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – Perfect World”, or publisher of the Chinese version of the game, Chinese gaming company “Perfect World”. One of the speculations was that this new account protection system is built for the Chinese audience, though this new feature may still get a worldwide release.
